Truck collided with car, four people injured

Shimla:  Amid Corona period, road accidents are highly reported from several states. Recently, an uncontrolled truck collided with a car in the middle of the road, near Santoshi Mata Temple on the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway. Four people in the car were seriously injured in the same collision. Sources added, a truck loaded with cold drinks was departed from Jalandhar to Bilaspur, but at the sharp turn slightly ahead of Santoshi Mata temple in Swarghat, uncontrolled hit by the car, left crowd shocked and in fear.

The injured were brought to Swarghat Primary Health Center through 108 ambulances, from where he has been sent to the district hospital for treatment after first aid.  A girl was trapped in the car and was taken out safely in the next hour. Several kilometers of traffic congestion on the highway with the accident, lead to a delay in the treatment of injured.

The team of SDM Swarghat Subhash Gautam and the police station Swarghat reached the spot and relief work was intiated by them. The police registered a case against rash driving against the truck driver. SDM Swarghat Subhash Gautam said in his statement that four people have been badly injured in this accident. The injured have been identified as Gurdayal, Narayani Devi, Hamirpur resident of Darshan, and Mahak. He was going from Hamirpur to Baddi. The highway has been restored, but the truck and car are damaged by this accident.
