Maharashtra: Ajit Pawar's letter placed before the Supreme Court, includes 54 NCP MLAs

New Delhi: The 'final' of the political 'day-night match' of Maharashtra is going to be held in the Supreme Court today. Important hearing is going on today in the top court on the politics of floor tests. The Supreme Court is hearing a joint petition by Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena. During this, Maharashtra Governor's lawyer Tushar Mehta told the court that the letter of Devendra Fadnavis - written in it. He is supported by 11 independent MLAs along with NCP MLAs.

Tushar Mehta said in court that Ajit Pawar is the leader of the Legislative Party. He read the letter. In which he has said that he has the support of all NCP MLAs and has decided to support Fadnavis. It has been said in the letter that President's rule should not last long, so they should be invited to form the government. Tushar Mehta said that the Governor has, in his discretion, invited the largest party to form the government, it has enough basis.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Maharashtra Governor, handed over Ajit Pawar's letter to the apex court, which included the names of 54 MLAs. He said that the vote was held on October 21, the result was declared on 24, BJP has 105 members, Shiv Sena has 56 members, NCP has 54 members. Shiv Sena and BJP were a pre-election alliance. First, the BJP was called to form the government, it could not prove a majority, then the Shiv Sena was called, it could not prove a majority, after that NCP was invited.
