India's renowned vehicle manufacturer TVS has increased the prices of its TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and TVS Apache RTR 180. Both these motorcycles are considered to be a good value proposition, but it has lost its value due to rising costs and significant emissions. The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V has touched a point of Rs 1 lakh in particular. With the difference, the new price hike has been increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500.

The price of the rear drum variant of TVS Apache RTR 160 2V has now been kept at Rs 97,000, whereas earlier it was Rs 95,000. The price of TVS Apache RTR 160 2V rear disc variants has been kept at Rs 1,00,00, whereas earlier it was priced at Rs 98,000. The price of TVS Apache RTR 180 has now gone up to Rs 1,03,950, compared to Rs 1,01,450 previously.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V equipped with BS6 standards was first launched in January 2020 and its rear drum brake variant was priced at Rs 93,500. The price of the rear disc brake version was Rs 96,500. On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 180 BS6 was launched by the company in March 2020 and for the first time since then, its prices have been increased. Apart from the increase in prices, the company has not made any changes in the mechanically and cosmic features in it. The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Honda Unicorn BS6 in the Indian market. The TVS Apache RTR 180 competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 180F Neon, priced at Rs 1,10,330 (ex-showroom).
