India's leading automobile manufacturer TVS Motor Company has increased the price of TVS Jupiter 110 cc scooter in its BS6 line-up. The company has increased the prices of Jupiter and Jupiter ZX variants by a modest Rs 613. Now its prices have gone up to Rs 62,062 and Rs 64,062 respectively. The price of the top end trim variant TVS Jupiter Classic has increased by Rs 651 and now it has been priced at Rs 68,562 (ex-showroom Delhi). This week the Chennai based two-wheeler manufacturer has already increased prices of TVS Sport and Radeon and recently the company has also raised the prices of NTorq 125 scooter. The 110 cc single-cylinder engine has been given in the TVS Jupiter range which comes with fuel injection technology. This engine generates 7.4 bhp of power at 7000 rpm and torque of 8.4 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engine is equipped with CVT automatic gearbox. The scooter has a TVS patented economy in which information about the eco mode and power mode can be obtained.

Talking about the equipment, all three variants of TVS Jupiter have telescopic front forks with coil spring shock absorbers and hydraulic dampers at the rear. The scooter has 90/90 section tubeless tires on 12 inch alloy wheels on both sides. 130 mm dual drum brakes have been given standard as braking. With the BS6 model, the company is no longer offering disc brakes in it.
