India's leading automobile manufacturer TVS has discontinued its Wego scooter. This 110 cc scooter is no longer part of the company's BS6 line-up. However, TVS will continue manufacturing this scooter and will export BS4 specifications to the select market. In the last few months, TVS has updated its website with the latest BS6 line-up. Many models have already been removed by the company and there may be a delay in launching many models due to the Covid-19 crisis. Let's know in full detail TVS Wego has launched about 10 years ago for purchase among customers and at that time the company had given it big 12 inch wheels. It was a very popular model for the scooter brand, especially in India in the first half of its life. However, in recent times it has not been as good for the company as was expected. TVS currently has popular branded scooters like Jupiter and Ntorq and has been updated to meet stringent emission norms. Apart from this, if noticed in the Indian market, the 110 cc scooters are ending with the new BS6 era. Yamaha has also recently discontinued its 110 cc scooters and replaced them with the new 125 cc engine. At the same time, other brands are also focusing on the 125 cc segment scooters. Currently, TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa 6G and Hero Pleasure Plus are present in the 110 cc segment in the Indian market. Now TVS Motor Company may not sell Wego in the Indian market, but will continue to make it in India for export to other international markets where BS4 is applicable.
