Cartoonist Vikaso creates 'Best CM' Uddhav Thackeray cartoon, Twitter sends legal notice

Mumbai: A cartoon 'Best CM' based on Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray is trending on social media. However, Twitter has not liked it much. For this, he has sent a legal notice to political cartoonist and satirist Vikaso (Vikaso), Username @vikasopikaso. According to Twitter, 'It violates the law of India". Twitter has done several times to arbitrarily suspend the accounts of users who have different views from the Left.

The cartoonist shared a copy of the notice received from Twitter's legal department on Monday (May 10) on Twitter and wrote, "Finally, I received the first notice for a cartoon on Best CM'. In an e-mail to the cartoonist on May 10, Twitter that the Legal Cell has informed that they have received 'request from India' about @vikasopikaso twitter handle, which claims that the following content violates The Laws of India.

The cartoon for which the cartoonist has received a notice was posted on April 3. The satirist had slammed Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray through his sketch. The political cartoon depicting Uddhav Thackeray had a picture of 'Chakraye CM' in an orange kurta. The CM has two briefcases before him, one with a 'lockdown' and the other with 'recovery' written on it and he seems nervous in choosing one of them.
