The cases of arms traffic, drug smuggling is increasing in the northeastern states. Even after the action of the police, the cases are continuously creating headlines. Police on Thursday nabbed two suspected gunrunners l in the East Karbi Anglong district along the Assam-Nagaland border. During the operation, one 7.65 mm pistol along with magazine and two rounds of live ammunition was recovered from the possession of the two youths. Bokajan SDPO John Das said that acting on a tip-off , an operation was carried out by Khatkhati police. The gunrunners have been identified as Rohan Pradhan (20) and Lucky Pradhan (22). Both are residents of Dimapur district in Nagaland and had brought the pistol for purpose of sale. The operation was led by John Das, SDPO Bokajan assisted by CI Barpathar Insp Bhupen Kalitta, OC Khatkhati SI (UB) Mwblik Brahma and staff.
