New Delhi: The North East District Authority in the national capital Delhi has ordered the closure of two markets here. The closed markets include Sonia Vihar and Mukund Vihar in Karawal Nagar. These markets have been ordered to be closed due to violation of corona protocol in these areas. Once again Delhi seems to be hit by coronavirus. Coming to Thursday's data, 15,097 new cases of coronavirus have been registered here within the last 24 hours. The transition rate in the state has now reached 15.34 per cent. 6 deaths have also been reported from the deadly virus. On the other hand, active cases have increased to 31,498. 2796 cases have been registered in Delhi on January 1, while 3194 cases were registered in the January 2 report, 4099 on January 3, 5481 on January 4, 10,665 on January 5 and have reached 15097 today. A total of 25,127 people have lost their lives from corona so far. The corona death rate is 1.69 per cent. On the other hand, home isolation has 14,937 patients and the number of active corona patients is recorded at 2.11 per cent with 31,498. The havoc of Omicron continues in the country. So far there was relief from the absence of deaths from this infection. But the second death related to Omicron in the country was confirmed the previous day. The 55-year-old woman from Odisha was killed by a new variant. On the other hand, in view of the increasing number of new variant Omicron of coronavirus across the country, the Central Government has directed to increase the number of testing in 9 states and Union Territories.
