Two more athletes test positive for COVID-19, added to the tally to 91

Two of the player Olympic Village who were tested positive added to the tally to 91 on Thursday. The organizers announced 12 new positive cases overall.

Skateboarder Candy Jacobs of the Netherlands and table tennis player Pavel Sirucek of the Czech Republic tested positive and had to leave the village to enter a quarantined hotel in cases announced Wednesday. Many of the strict rules were implemented to curb the spread of the virus but now it seems very dangerous for thousand of athletes.

Let us tell you that earlier, Russian swimmer Ilya Borodin, the European champion in the 400-meter individual medley, was also ruled out of the Olympics after testing positive for the dreaded virus. The Russian Swimming Federation says Borodin tested positive at a training camp in the city of Vladivostok in the Russian Far East.
