Two Youths Die in Road Accident While Heading to Ganga for Bath in Unnao

Lucknow: Two young men lost their lives in a road accident while heading to bathe in the Ganga River in Unnao. The tragic incident involved three friends who had set out on a motorcycle early in the morning. A truck collided with them en route, critically injuring one of the trio.

The accident occurred on Bhuddu Chauraha Bilhaur Road in the Bangarmau police station area. The three youths, hailing from Maulvikheda in the Hardoi Sandila police station area, embarked on their journey at 3 am, aiming to reach Bilhaur Nanamau Ghat for a bath in the Ganga. However, as they reached Bangarmau Bilhaur Road in Unnao, a speeding truck struck them.

The collision resulted in the immediate deaths of two of the youths, while the third sustained severe injuries. Arun, the brother of one of the deceased, Shaktiman, recounted the events. He mentioned that his brother, along with friends Shivam and Chhotalal, had left without informing their families. At 4 am, the police contacted them to report the accident and the fatalities.

The identities of the deceased were confirmed through the motorcycle's registration number. Upon arrival at the scene, Arun found that his brother Shaktiman and his friend Shivam had perished in the accident, while Chhote Lal was injured. The family had no prior knowledge of their intention to visit the Ganga for a bath.
