Uber the transport service provider has announced the launch of 'PIN-Dispatch' feature at Delhi airport with an aim at reducing wait time and enhancing rider experience, on Monday. This feature is already available at Bengaluru and Hyderabad airport resulting 80% reduction in wait times and improved traffic flow in dedicated areas and will be available at Terminal 3 (T3) of Indira Gandhi International Airport, an Uber statement said. Uber rider can now book e-rickshaws from select Delhi metro stations "Starting today, when riders request an UberGo at IGI International airport, they'll receive a unique six-digit PIN which will be used to match them to the first available driver at the pickup zone, reducing waiting times to almost zero," the company statement added. The rider has to provide the PIN to the driver, who will input the one-time numeric code into the app, upon commencing the ride. The riders will receive the driver and vehicle details for additional verification checks. Ensuring riders get access to the first vehicle at the waiting zone, Uber hopes to reduce waiting times in lineups, thereby facilitating social distancing, the company said.
