ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has denied claims made by Indian media that Islamabad was somehow involved in the murder of a Hindu tailor in the city of Udaipur. According to Samaa TV, the Foreign Office in Islamabad released a statement in reaction to information about the murder inquiry that was carried out in a section of the Indian media. The Foreign Office was cited as stating, "We have observed reports in a section of the Indian media relating to investigations into the murder case in Udaipur, mischievously seeking to link the accused individuals, who are Indian citizens, to a group in Pakistan." "Such allegations, which are characteristic of the BJP-RSS-led Indian regime's attempts to defame Pakistan, particularly by externalising their internal issues through finger-pointing at Pakistan, are categorically rejected by us. Such wicked tactics, whether made in India or overseas, will not be successful in deceiving the populace." In a heartbreaking event on Tuesday, a tailor was hacked to death in his shop on a busy street in Udaipur while it was still up for business for defending the now-suspended BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma's inflammatory remarks about the Prophet on social media.
