Ujjain created history on Mahashivratri; Lit 11.71 lakh earthen lamp

Ujjain: On the occasion of Shivratri, this year, Ujjain, the city of Lord Bholenath, made history. On Tuesday, more than 11 lakh earthen lamps were lit simultaneously in Ujjain and in this case, breaking Ayodhya's record, Ujjain registered its name in the Guinness World Records. All these earthen lamps were ignited in just 10 minutes.

At Ramghat in Ujjain, 11 lakh 71 thousand 78 diyas were lit. Earlier, 9 lakh 41 thousand earthen lamps were lit in Ayodhya on Diwali last year. The Guinness Book of World Records team was also present at the time of the lighting of the lamp at Ramghat which inspected it with a drone. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present at Ramghat at the time of making the world record and the world record was announced in front of him.

 

The first lamp was lit by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh. After the world record was set in Ujjain, it was celebrated with a lot of fireworks. Let us tell you that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced in Ujjain on November 5 that a big event will be held in Ujjain on the occasion of the Shivratri festival, like in UP's Ayodhya. In view of this, all preparations were made.
