Mumbai: Siraj Kaskar, nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has died in Karachi, Pakistan. He was corona infected. He was hospitalized for a week but he could not be saved. According to Mumbai Crime Branch officials, 38-year-old deceased Siraj Kaskar was the son of Dawood Ibrahim's elder brother Sabir Kakaskar. Earlier in Mumbai, Sabir Kakaskar was leading Dawood's gang, but at the behest of Pathan gang, gangster Manya Surve was shot dead on February 12, 1981. After the massacre, the war of supremacy in Mumbai's underworld had begun. After the gang war, Dawood Ibrahim became the new don of the Mumbai underworld. Mumbai Crime Branch sources said that they learned from their informants that Sabir Kaskar's son, Siraj, was suffering from corona. Last week he had difficulty breathing. He was then taken to a private hospital in Karachi. He was placed on the life-saving system where his condition later deteriorated. After two days of life support, Siraj was further damaged on Wednesday morning. His pulse went down and then many of his organs failed due to lack of oxygen, causing him to die. Relatives in Mumbai were briefed by members of Dawood Ibrahim's family in Karachi about Siraj's death. Mumbai Crime Branch officials received this information from their informant. Siraj lived near Dawood Ibrahim's mansion in the Clifton area of Karachi.
