Currently, in the state, voting is going in 6 municipal corporations Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar, and Jamnagar. According to the information received, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Ahmedabad late Saturday night for voting in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also a voter of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, but so far no confirmation has come yet. Talking about Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, he will also vote today, but according to the Election Commission guidelines, he will go to Rajkot wearing a PPE kit after 5 pm. The corona test of the Chief Minister will be done today before going for voting. After this test, he will reach Rajkot via ambulance and vote. There are 576 wards in a total of 6 municipal corporations, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Jamnagar, and Bhavnagar. So there are 1,14,67,358 voters in these 6 municipal corporations.
