UP Gogi Govt transfers 8 IAS officers

Lucknow: The  Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath government transferred up to eight IAS officers on Sunday in view of better maintaining the law and order in the state.

IAS Yogesh Kumar has been appointed Special Secretary Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch, IAS Sheshnath has been appointed Special Secretary Sugar and Sugarcane Development, and IAS Mahendra Singh has been appointed Special Secretary of the Home.

The Additional Commissioner Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) post was given to IAS Renu Tiwari, Additional Commissioner of Village Development. A second position as Chief Executive Officer of Khadi and Village Industries has been given to IAS Arun Prakash, Special Secretary for MSME Export Promotion.

TK Shibu has been appointed Additional Land Management Commissioner Revenue Council, IAS in the meantime. IAS Anurag Patel has been appointed Special Secretary of the Revenue Department, replacing Sunil Kumar Verma, who has been named Special Secretary of the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch.

The move occurs before the state's next municipal elections.

Earlier this month on November 4, in an administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh Government had transferred six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including District Magistrates (DMs) of around five districts. The District Magistrate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency has also been changed.
