Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi today inaugurated the month-long 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' in the city of Baba Vishwanath, Varanasi. This program has been organized at the Amphitheater Ground of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Here PM Narendra Modi will also address the public meeting. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with CM Yogi Adityanath are also present on the stage with PM Modi.
Venkata Ramana Ganpati, the first Tamil trustee of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, has said that this program has been organized by PM Modi for the first time, due to which the people of Tamil Nadu who came here are also very happy. This is the confluence of Ganga-Kaveri. With this, knowledge, trade, and culture of Kashi and Tamil Nadu will be exchanged. Addressing the program, CM Yogi has said that 'Kashi-Tamil Sangamam' is being organized in Kashi, the city of Baba Vishwanath. Due to this, a wonderful confluence of north and south is taking place. The millennia-old relationship is getting new life again. This event is bringing alive the concept of 'One India, Best India' of PM Modi in the Azadi Ka Amritkal. All elements of Indian culture are equally preserved in Kashi and Tamil Nadu.
The Ministry of Education had informed that 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' would be organized in Varanasi (Kashi) from November 17 to December 16. It aims to trace back and celebrate the age-old links between Tamil Nadu and Kashi, two of the most important and ancient knowledge centers of the country.
