UP government starts preparing for 2025 Maha Kumbh

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh  Yogi Adityanath government has begun preparing for the Maha Kumbh, scheduled to be held in Prayagraj in 2025

On Thursday, a high-level meeting will be held in Prayagraj to plan the details of the Maha Kumbh 2025.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ready to preside over the meeting along with senior officials of his office, the Chief Secretary and heads of at least ten other departments who will play a key role in making the religious event successful.

The Chief minsiter will review the preliminary presentation during the meeting and provide his comments, said the official spokeswoman. A basic blueprint of the event has been prepared.

"The size and scale of the event will be enormously grand. We are going to bring all the options on the table so as to make the event historic," said a state government official.

Senior government officials and the heads of various departments, including those in charge of public works, power, irrigation, urban development, health, home, housing, and urban planning, transportation, tourism, and information, are anticipated to attend the high-level meeting to identify the challenges that call for departmental coordination and cooperation.

Help from the research students enrolled in civil engineering, environment, sustainable development, and design courses will be sought during the planning stages of the event the next year in order to organise it efficiently and with high-quality materials, the official said.
