Yogi government: 'Antigen tests of all those coming in from Maharashra and Kerala...'

Mumbai: The corona test will begin for passengers coming from Maharashtra and Kerala to Uttar Pradesh. Actually, for this, antigen test of passengers will be done at the airport. The Uttar Pradesh government issued orders in this regard on Friday. Indeed, an order has been issued by Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad. The order states that "Antigen test of all people coming from Maharashtra and Kerala should be done at the airports. Those who are found positive will be kept in home isolation. Their samples should be RT-PCR checked."

Simultaneously, Amit Mohan Prasad has also said in his statement that, 'Those found negative in RT-PCR test should stay quarantined in the house for one week. People arriving by rail and bus routes should be monitored and tested accordingly. There was a meeting last Friday morning.' During this meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the focus on the COVID-19 test.

At the same time, he said that 'Testing has an important role in breaking the cycle of coronavirus infection. It should be ensured that the state does not have less than 1.25 lakh tests per day.' Simultaneously, the Chief Minister also said that, in view of the increase in cases in some outlying states, extra vigilance should be taken in UP. Arrangements should be made to ensure contract tracing and quarantine of people coming from outside states.
