UP Holi Gift: Yogi to launch COVID orphan help, welfare programs and more

GORAKHPUR: Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath  Government is set to launch the services of several government welfare programs in Gorakhpur district ahead of Hokly celebratiobns.  From the distribution of assistance to orphans to the launch of new healthcare services in the district, several facilities are up for launch in the coming week. 

The benefits of several government welfare programmes are about to be made available in Gorakhpur by the UP government under Chief Minister Yogi. Many facilities are set to go into operation in the upcoming week, from the provision of aid to orphans to the introduction of new healthcare services in the district.

The state government will give out laptops and scholarship cheques a day before Holi to 608 children who lost both of their parents to the COVID-19 outbreak in the area. These orphaned childrens will also receive assistance totaling 4,000 under the Chief Minister Bal Sewa programme. The amount of aid for those who lost one parent to the epidemic will be 2,500.

In order to promote sportspeople in the state's rural areas, the UP government would also give sports kit to almost 4,000 Mangal Dals in the district.

The decision of distribution of sports kits in rural areas has been appreciated by national sportspersons of the state, as per reports. Two sportsmen employed in NE Railways, Afaq Khan and Nurul Huda, lauded the government for its decision and also approved the UP government for its sincere promotion of sports in rural areas.

Ahead of the holi festival,  the government also intends to open two paediatric intensive care units that were constructed by companies as part of their CSR initiatives. At community health centres in Jungle Kauriya and Chargawan, paediatric intensive care units will be officially opened. The Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemical Ltd. constructed these facilities as part of its CSR initiative. In 17 of the district's health centres, the firm built paediatric health centres. Moreover, several others are still being built.
