Rampur: Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat, Azam Khan's MLA son Abdulla Azam Khan has been detained by Rampur police from Johar University. Abdullah Azam is accused of obstructing the police investigation into the Johar University case. Police have taken Abdullah with him in a jeep. No information in this regard has been received so far. It may be mentioned that a case was registered against Abdullah Azam Khan, the MLA son of Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan, on Tuesday 30th July. Abdullah Azam Khan has been accused of getting a passport on the basis of false and coded documents. The case has been registered at police station civil lines in Rampur on a complaint filed by BJP leader Akash Saxena. The raids are being carried out by UP police at Johar University in Azam Khan since Tuesday, which continues to this day. Azam Khan's MLA son had also reached the university with his supporters on Tuesday and obstructed police action. Abdullah had reached the university today to intervene in the police work and was obstructing the investigation, after which he has been arrested.
