Encounter in UP's Basti, Gorakhpur's notorious gangster Surendra Jaiswal arrested

Lucknow: With the resounding return of the Yogi government to power in Uttar Pradesh, the criminals have also come to an end. The UP Police is engaged in cracking down on criminals. In the same order, near Bhatha Sabzi Mandi under Gaur police station area of Basti district on Monday/Monday. Police have arrested Surendra Jaiswal, a resident of Sahajapur police station, Khajni district, Gorakhpur, who was accused of looting in an encounter late on Tuesday night.

Superintendent of Police Ashish Srivastava said that during the cordon, Inamiya Surendra tried to escape by firing at the police team. He was injured in police retaliation. He has been admitted to the district hospital, where he is completely out of danger. SP Srivastava said that a chain of loot has also been recovered from his possession from the Gaur police station area. Katta and cartridges were also found with it.  

Police said that on a tip-off from the informer, inspector-in-charge Sanjay Kumar Maya was searching the vehicles late on Monday night and Rajkumar Pandey, in-charge of the SWAT team. Meanwhile, the accused Surendra Jaiswal, who reached there, has been cordoned off and arrested. He is being interrogated and information about his other accomplices is being collected.
