URI Box office collection: Vicky Kaushal starrer is to cross Rs. 175 crore

Aditya Dhar directorial Uri: The Surgical Strike is reciving the rave reviews at the box-office. Despite the release of many big movies , Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrrer is getting a phenomenal response at the box office. In fact, the 4th Friday business of Uri is better than the opening day figure of new release Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, which itself tells the complete story. The film raked in Rs 3.36 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 174.43 crore.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the film through Twitter. The Tweet reads, “#UriTheSurgicalStrike continues its fantastic journey... Biz on [fourth] Fri is *higher* than [third] Thu [₹ 3.31 cr], which speaks of its incredible hold... Will cross ₹ 175 cr today [Sat; Day 23]... [Week 4] Fri 3.36 cr. Total: ₹ 174.43 cr. India biz. #Uri. It is expected that It will cross the Rs 175 crore mark today.”

 

The film is about the surgical strike on terror hubs in Pakistan conducted after the 2016 terror attack at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides the lead cast, it also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajit Kapoor and Mohit Raina in key roles.
