Lucknow: A BMS student was allegedly lured into a love trap by a Mufti posted at a madrasa in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut Sardhana and fraudulently married her, police said on Sunday. When the student came to know that Mufti was already married, she started to oppose. It is alleged that Mufti went to his first wife when the student was eight months pregnant. The SSP has ordered the registration of a case in the matter. According to the report, about one and a half years ago, the student met Mufti. It is alleged that he started reconciling with the student on the pretext of propagating religion and trapped the student in love by hiding the fact that he was married. He started living with her in a live-in. Under pressure to get married, he did a fake marriage and fraudulently registered the marriage. After this, the student started living in Mufti's house. About two months after the marriage, suddenly one day a woman came home with two children and told that she was Mufti's wife. When the student protested, Mufti left her and went to his first wife. The student is said to be eight months pregnant. While giving information in this matter, SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan has said that a case has come to the fore of second marriage by the Mufti of the madrassa by cheating a BMS student.
