Lucknow: A major negligence on the part of district hospital nursing staff has come to light in Banda, Uttar Pradesh. A patient died here due to lack of treatment only because the nursing staff responsible for taking care of the admitted patients in the ward locked the duty room from within and slept overnight. The family also made a video of it. The 3-minute video clearly shows how the on-duty employee is sleeping fearlessly inside the nursing duty room of the burn ward and the family members are standing outside pleading to open the door, but it is not being affected. The patient later died due to lack of treatment. The family members have demanded action from the authorities against the erring staff. According to reports, two days ago, a man named Raja Dadu (50) was admitted to the district hospital for treatment after being badly burnt, where he was admitted to the burn ward. According to family members, their patient had to climb the drip after 12 pm. But instead of applying it, the medical staff closed the duty room from within and slept snoring. He didn't get up until 7 a.m. In the meantime, the patient's condition deteriorated and he later died due to lack of treatment.
