Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has termed the Lakhimpur Kheri incident as unfortunate and sad. He has said that I have deep condolences to the families of the victims. The Deputy CM said that the incident has been unearthed and the six accused have been identified as Chhotu, Junaid, Sohail, Hafizul, Karimuddin and Arif. A preliminary investigation found that Sohail and Junaid, who had lured the two girls to a nearby field, raped them. He said that action is being taken by arresting all the accused and registering a case against them under the POCSO Act. The state government stands with the families of the victims. The Deputy CM said that the accused would get such punishment that the souls of their future generations would also tremble. Justice will be given to the victims. Proceedings will be done through fast-track courts. What is the Lakhimpur incident:- Let us tell you that after arresting four accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, the police have revealed. Six people have been arrested after the bodies of two minor Dalit sisters were found hanging from a tree in the Lakhimpur Kheri district on Wednesday evening. Police officials said that one of the accused got injured due to a bullet injury in the leg during the police encounter. Lakhimpur Kheri Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Suman told a press conference that the six accused have been identified as Chhotu, Junaid, Sohail, Hafizul, Karimuddin and Arif. Preliminary investigation found that Sohail and Junaid, who had lured the two girls to a nearby field, raped them. It was told that the girls asked the accused to marry them. Thereafter, the accused strangled them to death. After this, Hafizul, Arif and Karimuddin assisted Junaid and Sohail in hanging the girls' bodies from the tree. SP Suman said that all the accused except Chhotu were residents of Lalpur village of Lakhimpur Kheri. Chhotu, who was the neighbour of the victim, had introduced both the girls to the accused. The post-mortem of the bodies of the girls would be conducted in the next few hours, the police official said.
