Old man stabbed to death behind Rs 50, demanded money for liquor

Lucknow: Bhagwandin Rawat (70) was stabbed to death in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow for not paying Rs 50 for liquor. His body was found lying on a cot near Kaithal pond on Tuesday morning. His son, Shivpal, has suspected three people in the village of murder. After being taken into custody and interrogated, the accused confessed to committing the crime. A knife has also been recovered from his spot.  

Bhagwandin, a resident of Kulankheda, is survived by three sons Kailash, Shivakumar and Shivpal. Bhagwandin had been living in a hut near the Kathon pond for a long time apart from his sons. According to his eldest son Shivakumar, on Tuesday morning, he was informed by the villagers that his father's body was lying on the cot. Shivakumar reached the spot with the brothers. Where the father's blood-soaked body was lying. He had deep wounds on his head.

Superintendent of Police Rural Hridayesh Kumar and ASP rural Hridayesh Katheria also reached out on the information about the killing of the old man in Veerpur. Shivakumar suspected three people from the village of committing the murder. According to SO Mall Ravindra Singh, Azad, Apid and Bilbil Ali were detained and interrogated. A knife has been found on his identity.
