According to media reports, Sumit is a resident of Puthi in the Mussoorie police station area. He says that when he went to his in-laws on Raksha Bandhan, a boy named Shoaib reached his house with fodder in an e-rickshaw. Sumit alleged that Shoaib did a falsework to the cow when he saw it alone.
