Tayyab Ansari raped woman, also extorts money on behalf of giving her a ticket

Lucknow: The Chinhat police in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow have arrested a man accused of forgery and sexually exploiting a woman by posing as an MP of a national party. The victim alleged that the accused sexually assaulted her on the pretext of getting her a Lok Sabha ticket. Tayyab Ansari (52), a resident of Madianv Mohibullahpur, was arrested from Hotel Moti Mahal in Bareilly Kalibari, ADCP (East) Syed Ali Abbas said. A complaint against the accused was lodged by a woman in November 2022.

According to the report, the woman says that Tayyab Ansari alias MT Hasan claimed to be a Rajya Sabha MP. The accused had convinced the woman that he had a considerable identity in a national-level party. Using his influence, he can get a woman a Lok Sabha election ticket. The woman believed his words. After this, the accused started demanding money continuously. He also physically abused the woman.

A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim under sections of misconduct, criminal intimidation, and cheating. During interrogation, the accused said that he was not related to any party. He lied to extort money from the woman.
