Uttar Pradesh: 3 Of Family Killed As Car Collides With Bus

Lucknow: A bus collided with a car in the Biharigarh police station area in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, killing three members of the same family. In this regard, the police have been notified. Praveen Chauhan, 45, of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, was driving here with his family to buy for his daughter Shilpi's wedding when his car crashed with a bus near Mohand, according to Superintendent of Police Atul Sharma.

The bus that collided, he added, was taking passengers to PM Narendra Modi's event in Dehradun on Saturday. Praveen Chauhan, his 42-year-old wife Manju Chauhan, and their 22-year-old daughter Shilpi died at the spot, while both sons Dikshant (20) and Vishnu (17) were critically injured.

Superintendent of Police (Dehat) Atul Sharma informed that some people on the bus were also slightly injured. Praveen was posted as Under Engineer (JE) in Jal Nigam in Dehradun.
