Uttarakhand Foundation Day: PM Narendra Modi extends greetings

Uttarakhand: On the occasion of the Uttarakhand state's foundation day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on Tuesday, November 9. Narendra Modi also praised the state's development efforts over the last five years, declaring that "this decade will belong to Uttarakhand."

"With the progress made by the state in the last five years, I am confident that Uttarakhand will own this decade," PM Modi said in a tweet that was roughly translated from Hindi. "The development work done in Uttarakhand demonstrates that both mountain water and youth are now being utilised here." Uttarakhand was formed as India's 27th state on November 9, 2000, after being carved out of Northern Uttar Pradesh.
