Ladakh vehicles will get recognition, now 'LA' registration tag

Jammu: Recently after separating from Jammu and Kashmir, now the government has issued the 'LA' registration tag for Ladakh trains. According to a gazetted notification of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Central Government has amended SO-444 using the powers vested in the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.

LA number plate on Ladakh trains: According to information received from sources, as per the amendment, serial number 71 has been changed and LA has been added in 17A for Ladakh. After this, vehicles with LA number plates will be seen in Ladakh. This is the same as BR is used for Bihar, MP for Madhya Pradesh, UK number plate for Uttarakhand.
