VIDEO: Jitullah Khan seen cleaning rickshaw with national flag, case registered

Lucknow: A case of contempt of the national flag tricolor has come to light from the Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A video of a driver from Gorakhpur wiping an e-rickshaw with the tricolor is going viral on social media. In the video, the driver is seen posing as Jitullah Khan, a resident of Bihar. The police have registered a case on the basis of the video. The incident is being reported on Thursday (February 9).

In the video, which has gone viral on social media, the man who was stopping Jitullah Khan, who was cleaning a rickshaw with the tricolor, also questioned him for being an Indian. At the same time, another person standing near the rickshaw is also describing the tricolor as a piece of cloth. However, even after the mistake was caught, the accused driver continued to smile shamelessly. Many users are reacting sharply to this video. On the basis of the viral video, Gorakhpur police have registered a case against Jitullah Khan at Gorakhnath police station and started an investigation.

According to the report, the incident took place in Janpriya Vihar Colony under the Gorakhnath police station area. In this case, the plaintiff himself has become the police. As the complainant, Sub-Inspector Gopal Yadav has lodged an FIR citing a video that has gone viral on social media. In the complaint, the action of the e-rickshaw driver, who is posing as Jitullah, is described as a deliberate act. The police have registered an FIR against the unidentified person under Section 2 of the Prevention of Insult to National Pride Act 1971.
