sandalwood smuggler Chandan's daughter contests in loksabha election

Vidhya Rani, aged 33, daughter of the infamous forest brigand known in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, has been declared as the candidate for Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, by Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK). Vidhya Rani, the daughter of Veerappan, has pledged to be the voice of the people, particularly focusing on empowering farmers and women in the constituency.

"I've been entrusted by the party to represent the people of Krishnagiri in the upcoming MP elections, where I'll advocate for their needs. This region is predominantly agricultural, facing challenges like water scarcity and inadequate infrastructure. Moreover, there's a significant number of educated but unemployed individuals. My priority is to address these issues," stated Vidhya Rani.

She emphasized her commitment to supporting women's economic independence and serving as a spokesperson for the community. "I'll align with any political party that prioritizes the well-being and progress of the people. Conversely, I'll oppose any agenda that undermines their welfare, regardless of the party," she affirmed. Vidhya Rani will contest against K Gopinath of the Congress, C Narasimhan representing the BJP, and V Jayaprakash from the AIADMK in the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for April 19. Her electoral agenda includes advocating for a railway station in Krishnagiri, improving healthcare facilities, and ensuring basic amenities for residents in hilly areas. This election marks Vidhya Rani's debut in the electoral arena, representing NTK as their candidate for the Krishnagiri Lok Sabha constituency.
