Shivraj govt to grant Rs 5 lakh to family of deceased in Vidisha tragedy

Vidisha: Around 40 people fell into a well while witnessing a rescue operation by an eight-year-old girl in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. A total of 11 people are said to be missing. According to reports, 19 people have been evacuated so far. The incident took place late last Thursday night. Police informed that "during the rescue operation of the girl, a crowd of people had gathered around the well. The pressure had increased considerably due to the rush of people and the well also broke the boundary, after which 40 people fell into a well about 40 feet deep.''

 

 

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the incident. In a tweet, he said, "There were sad reports of people passing away in the accident in Ganjbasauda. Their bodies have been recovered. Relief and rescue operations are still underway. I'm constantly monitoring it.'' Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also announced that the families of the deceased will be given financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh and the injured will get 50,000 rupees for the treatment.

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang had informed that "many people were rescued before midnight. Out of which 13 people have been admitted to the hospital immediately.'' Let us also tell you that CM Shivraj Singh is also keeping a close watch on the incident and after the incident, he has ordered Minister Vishwas Sarang to monitor the rescue operation.
