Senior National Wrestling: Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat win gold medals

India's star women wrestlers Vinesh Phogat (55 weight category) and Sakshi Malik (62 weight category) won gold in their respective weight categories at the Senior National Wrestling Championships on Saturday with stunning victories in the final.

However, the performance of Haryana's other wrestler Anita Sheoran was also remarkable, who defeated Commonwealth Games medalist Divya Kakran of Railways in 68 weight category. 35-year-old Anita also won a gold medal in the 65 weight category last year. Vinesh, playing for Railways, beat Haryana's 20-year-old Anju by 7-3. This is Vinesh's second consecutive gold medal in the national championship. Sakshi defeated Haryana's Radhika 4-2 in the final. Neetu of Chandigarh may have to settle for a silver medal after losing to Sarita More in 57 weight categories, while Nisha of Haryana defeated Navjot of Railways by 4-1 in 65 weight categories.
