Kohli's salary equals the salary of the entire Pakistani team, look at the figures

New Delhi: While Virat Kohli, the captain of Team India, is at the forefront of scoring runs and creating new records every day, Virat is also at the forefront in terms of income. Team India's captain Kohli's name is included in the list of highest-grossing cricketers. Even if his advertising earnings are separated once, his annual salary from the BCCI is almost equal to the annual salary of the entire Pakistan team.

In fact, recently the BCCI has released the list of annual agreements for the period from October 2020 to September 2021, in which Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jaspreet Bumrah are in Grade A Plus. According to the BCCI contract, A + players get Rs 7 crore annually, while grade A players get a contract of Rs 5 crore. 3 crore and 1 crore rupees are given to the players of Grade-B and C respectively.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) puts its players in 3 categories. 3 players of A-grade get 11 Lakh Pakistani Rupees (ie around 5.20 Lakh Indian Rupees) per month. This grade includes Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Azhar Ali. 7.50 lakh Pakistani rupees (i.e. 3.54 lakh Indian rupees) are given to those in B grade and 5.50 lakh Pakistani rupees (i.e. 2.60 lakh Indian rupees) to those in C grades. If the Pakistani rupees are converted into Indian rupees, then the entire salary of the Pakistan team is almost equal to the retainer fees that Virat Kohli gets every year. The Pakistan board spends Rs 7.4 crore per year on players' fees.
