Among the increasing corona virus cases parents and students are eagerly waiting for government notice about examination. On Thursday, the Telangana State government cancelled Class 10 SSC examinations and postponed the Intermediate second year examinations. Here it is to be noted that the State government will promote all the intermediate first year students without any examination and inter second year students with backlogs will be given minimum pass marks for the backlog subjects. The 25 percent weightage of intermediate marks will not be considered for EAMCET this year.
Here it is needed to mention that the SSC exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 17 to 28 while the second year intermediate examinations were proposed to be held between May 1 and May 19. Considering the present pandemic situation in the State and also keeping in view of the CBSE notification, the State government hereby cancels all 10th class exams, which were proposed to be held from May 17, Special Chief Secretary (Higher Education) Chitra Ramachandran said in a memo on Thursday.
Here it is to be noted that Secretary, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), Syed Omer Jaleel said that the issue was reviewed thoroughly by the State government. Senior officials from the Higher Education department will hold a review meeting in the first week of June to decide about the future dates of the Intermediate second year examinations. The Higher Education authorities will give a 15 day notice before the start of the examinations. The results of class 10 students will be prepared on the basis of objective criteria to be developed by the SSC Board, Telangana at a later date.
