Why Wasim Jaffer preferred Sehwag over Sachin Tendulkar?

Both Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag of the Indian cricket team were of different temperament. While Sehwag was known for his stormy style, Sachin believed in speeding up his batting according to time. Both these players have been very successful as batsmen and as long as they kept playing, they also entertained the Indian cricket fans fiercely. However, if we compare the batting of Sachin and Sehwag, it is hardly right to compare between the two, but former Indian opener batsman Wasim Jaffer has expressed his opinion about both.

If we talk about Wasim Jaffer, he could not shine as much on the international circuit, but at the home level in his batting in first-class cricket, his brilliance was quite visible to everyone. During an interview, Wasim Jaffer was asked who is his favourite batsman out of former Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag? The reply given by this Mumbai batsman was quite shocking as he preferred Virender Sehwag over Sachin. However, he also explained the reason behind it that Sehwag had the ability to entertain the fans and that is why he likes Sehwag more than Sachin.

Wasim Jaffer, the only Asian batsman to score two double centuries despite being 40 years old in domestic cricket, said that during his international cricket career, he had the most trouble facing Brett Lee. Although he was given two options as Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee, he told Brett Lee, a better bowler than Akhtar. On the ICC banning the use of saliva on the ball, Wasim said that it is going to be very difficult for the bowlers as they have no other way to shine the ball. He also said that the batsmen will get the benefit of this completely and it will become easier for them to play.
