T temperatures there is below zero to 15 degrees, where normal life was completely frozen, water is being supplied by taps to people's homes today. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water is being transported to every household on a war footing in the remote areas of Ladakh.  Now Umala in Leh district of Ladakh has become the 12th village where tap water has started flowing. There was a wave of joy in the village when water was supplied from the tap. People started celebrating. A resident of Umla village said that in the first winter, we had no choice but to break the ice layer and fetch water. The state administration has set a target of delivering tap water to every household in Ladakh by August 15 next year.

After the formation of the Union Territory, the snow accumulated on the bright future and the development of Ladakh has started melting. Development works are taking place at a rapid pace here. In the snowy desert, normal life has come to a standstill due to the lack of water in the winter season. Therefore, the Central Government has set a target of addressing the water problem in Ladakh first with the Jal Jeevan Mission. On the other hand, Sonam Wangchuk tweeted thanking PM Modi for this, writing, "Thank you, Narendra Modiji. A more sensitive government cannot be imagined! After my tweet urging #LehAirport to save, a team of PMO led by Deputy Secretary M Ghildial landed in Leh, inspected the new airport and spent 4 hours with our #HIAL team to find a solution to #CarbonNeutral Ladakh.
