Heavy rains may occur in these states of the country, red alerts issued in several districts

New Delhi: Rain time in Maharashtra continued on Tuesday. A red alert of rain has been sounded in several cities of the state today. South Gujarat is likely to receive maximum rainfall till July 23. This may be followed by heavy rainfall on 24th July. The same MET department has issued a red alert at Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune, Kolhapur, and Satara in Maharashtra indicating supreme rainfall. An orange alert has been issued in Mumbai. Marathwada and Vidarbha areas are likely to receive light rainfall till Friday.

Air Force saves 5 lives:- Indian Air Force rescues 5 persons trapped on river mounds due to floods in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. A message was received about a group of villagers trapped in floodwater in the River, after which an Air Force helicopter was immediately pressed into service to rescue the people. All the 5 persons trapped there have been evacuated to safer areas.

These regions may receive heavy rainfall:- According to the MET department, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim, and Andaman and Nicobar islands, Gujarat region, Telangana, south interior and coastal parts of Karnataka and Kerala are the worst hit. Several parts of the same national capital received rain on Tuesday with the temperature falling and the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius.
