TMC leader dragged female teacher by rope, beats with iron rod

Kolkata: A school teacher and her sister were dragged and beaten with a rope in South Dinajpur, West Bengal. A case has been registered against 5 people in this case. It is alleged that local TMC leader Amal Sarkar along with his colleagues first dragged the woman and then beat her up badly. According to media reports, accused TMC leader Amal Sarkar has been expelled from the party.

The teacher of primary school was beaten in Gangarampur in Dinajpur district. It is alleged that the female teacher had forcibly opposed the acquisition of her land for road construction. On this, the accused dragged the female teacher for about 30 feet and then locked the house and locked it. The woman told that, the panchayat had recently started a project to build the road, but the road was passing through the woman's house. The woman alleged that the panchayat administration started functioning without our consent.

The woman said that for the village I was ready to give land for a 12 feet wide road, that too without compensation, but I later came to know that there is a plan to build a road 24 feet wide. When I protested on the spot, I was beaten up. The video of the fight with the female teacher is going viral on social media. The video shows the woman being beaten with an iron rod. She falls on the road, but the accused drag her.
