New Delhi: Messaging app WhatsApp has said it will not allow consumers to take any time out on its privacy policy. WhatsApp on Monday said in the Delhi High Court that users are being asked by it to accept the new privacy policy. The social media company, through its lawyer Kapil Sibal, told the court that it is asking users to accept the privacy policy.

Not only that, the accounts of users who do not accept this policy will be gradually deleted. Kapil Sibal informed that, "We have requested the users to agree to the policy. If they don't agree, we'll delete them.., there's no proposal to postpone this policy. Let us tell you that there was an uproar over the mandatory acceptance of privacy policy by the company. The policy was announced by the company in January after which it postponed it till May.

According to the company's new policy, WhatsApp will have the right to share some data related to user interaction with parent company Facebook. The high court has adjourned the hearing of the case till June 3. The status quo was sought on behalf of Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma and the petitioners. The court has since decided to postpone the hearing of the case.
