Fans of Russia and England clash with each other in Euro Cup

The Euro Cup is considered to be the largest football tournament of European countries. In 2016, the Euro Cup was held in France. For the first time, 24 teams took part in this tournament instead of 16. Like every time, the football fans of Europe reached France to encourage their respective countries. In this tournament, there was a clash of fans in the match played between England and Russia, which took the Paris police three days to deal with.

England and Russia were involved in different groups on the group stage. Where Russia was in Group B, England was in Group A. As the first match played between England and Russia in Marseille, at the stoppage time, violence broke out in the stadium as Russia drew a 1–1 goal to draw an equalizer. How this violence started is not clearly known till date, but at that time, the eyewitnesses said that the fans of Russia had brought flags in their hands and with them they started breaking the barrier which kept the fans of both the countries separate.
