Lucknow: A doctor from Shamli shot himself with a licensed pistol in the Fatehpur police station area of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday night. It is being told that the doctor was going to Dehradun with his wife. But after having a dispute with his wife on the way, he shot himself. Police rushed to the spot immediately after being informed of the suicide and started investigating the matter. At the same time, after the doctor's suicide, there has been mourning in the family. It is being told that the deceased doctor has his in-laws in Dehradun and he was going to Dehradun with his wife.
According to the police, Dr R P Singh and his wife Dr Alka, originally residents of Meerut and currently residing in Shamli, have a hospital in Shamli. While in Dehradun is his in-laws. Dr R.P. Singh also has a hospital in Dehradun. On Saturday night, Dr R.P. Singh was on his way to Dehradun for a holiday with his wife and stopped at a restaurant on the highway before the toll plaza in Fatehpur police station area of Saharanpur at around 8 pm. Here his wife Dr Alka went to the washroom and Dr R.P. Singh was sitting in the car. Police said that after some time, Dr Alka also reached the car and the two got into an argument.
Alka, the wife of Dr R P Singh, told the police that after the fight, Dr R.P. Singh got down from the car and went some distance away from the restaurant and shot himself with a licensed pistol. Hearing the sound of the bullet, people gathered there and informed the police. The police also reached the spot, after which Dr R P Singh was brought to the hospital in an injured condition, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
