Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Qasim Ryan on Thursday resigned from the party citing no action by party national president Akhilesh Yadav and others against the rising incidents of alleged atrocities on Muslims. Sp leader Qasim Ryan, in his resignation case, has mentioned about senior party leader Azam Khan and said that he was put in jail but party's national president Akhilesh Yadav remained silent on the issue. In his resignation letter, Qasim wrote, "Not raising the voice of samajwadi party office bearers, leaders who ate the cream of power from state to district against the atrocities on the people of the Muslim community in the state, azam khan's family being put in jail."
