Lucknow: The national president of the progressive Samajwadi Party (PRASPA), Shivpal Yadav, has surprised everyone and dissolved all the national and provincial cells of his party. Along with this, he has also abolished the posts of all the office-bearers. Not only this but Shivpal has also dissolved the committee of his party spokespersons. All the committees have been dissolved on the orders of PRASPA chief Shivpal Yadav. For this, the party has also issued a letter. 

The letter said that as per the directions of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) national president Shivpal Yadav, the state executive and the executive of national/regional cells as well as the panel of spokespersons are dissolved with immediate effect. Amidst reports of closeness to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shivpal Yadav has advocated the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Shivpal Yadav has said that now is the right time to implement the Uniform Civil Code. The national president of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PRASPA) Shivpal Yadav said this during a programme organized on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.

Shivpal Yadav was addressing a programme on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and Rahul Sankrityayan's death anniversary. Delivering a speech on the subject of nationalism and socialism, Shivpal Yadav said that both Ambedkar and Lohia had openly advocated socialism. He had also advocated a uniform civil code in the Constituent Assembly. Shivpal Yadav said that Ram Manohar Lohia had even made it an issue in the 1967 elections.
