New Delhi: The Indian team has taken an unbeaten 2-0 lead in the three-match T20 International series against New Zealand. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant hit winning shots for Team India in both matches. The second T20 match was played on November 19 (Friday) at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi, which India won by seven wickets. In this match, Pant had a tape on his jersey when he landed for wicketkeeping during the New Zealand batting. Pant's tape jersey photo went viral. In fact, Pant was dressed in a T20 World Cup team India jersey. The jersey had the T20 World Cup logo on the right, which Pant had to paste the tape on it to hide. He wore a half sweater on it during the middle of the match after which his tape was not visible. The T20 series is being played immediately after the T20 World Cup. Pant scored 12 off 6 balls in the match for India. Pant could not score a single off the first four balls but then hit two sixes off two consecutive balls to lead the team to victory. Pant led India to victory with a four in the last match and with a six in this match, that too was his one-handed signature shot. Pant teamed up with Venkatesh Iyer to lead Team India to victory. India won the first match by five wickets while the second by seven wickets. The final match of the series will now be played in Kolkata on November 21. This will be followed by a two-match Test series between the two teams. Pant has been rested from the Test series.
