Wife of Martyr in Pulwama warned of fasting, says, If in five days...

Lucknow: When son of Vinayakpur town of Manpuri district of Uttar Pradesh was martyred in Pulwama, a number of promises were made, people's representatives and officials also announced the construction of a memorial for the martyr. But only the promise-giver forgot the martyred jawan. The district administration is not giving way to the martyr's memorial. The family is tired of circling the offices for the fulfilment of the promises. The troubled family has now warned of a fast.

RamWakil, a resident of Vinayakpur village under Barnahal Vikas Khand, was killed in a suicide attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, 2019. After the martyrdom of Ramvakil, the local administration gave space to build a martyr's memorial in village Vinayakpur, but now the family members are not able to construct the monument because of lack of way for the martyr's memorial.

Gita Devi, wife of the martyr, has said that she herself has met the District Magistrate four times for the way of the martyr's memorial and five times from the sub-junior. On Monday, Geeta Devi, along with Shaheed Ramwakil's nephew Shivkumar and CRPF jawan Manoj Kumar, also shared the problem with the SDM, but no solution was found. Geeta Devi has warned that if the martyr's memorial is not found in five days, she will be forced to sit with the family on a fast.
