Wild buffalo killed 2 people in Assam

In Assam, buffalo was shot by forest department officials after it killed two persons and injured three others injured in Biswanath district. The wild buffalo deviated from the Kaziranga National Park and entered the rural area in Biswanath. Buffalo, including a woman in Matka and Kumlia, attacked at least 5 people.

Two of the injured succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The deceased persons have been identified as Jayant Das and Sukur Ali. According to the information received, the angry villagers also started attacking the local forest office. On Friday, a team of the Forest ministry had arrived in the 1st number of the area where wild buffaloes were seen roaming.

It is also being said that a forest official has spoken, "We had no intention of killing wild buffaloes. But when it chased our team, they had no option but to shoot at it." "In self-defence, the forest personnel had killed Buffalo," the forest official said. The wild buffalo had killed and injured several people.
